Royal Wharf Luxury Leisure Centre Up and Running

Work on the multi-million-pound Royal Wharf development in East London’s Docklands continues at pace with the luxury clubhouse ready to open.

Tate Consulting have been working on the development after being appointed by joint-venture development partners, Ballymore Group and Oxley Holdings, to provide a full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design service, working closely with architects Whittam Cox, structural engineers OCSC and Ballymore to coordinate the design.

The completion of the new state-of-the-art 20,000ft clubhouse includes a 25-metre swimming pool and infinity pool, hydrotherapy spa, steam room, sauna and high-tech gym. The launch of the clubhouse is planned to coincide with a new online residents’ portal which will allow them to book their choice in over 50 classes per week, including Bootcamp, High-Intensity Interval Training, Yoga and swimming lessons.

The Royal Wharf development is located at the heart of London’s Royal Docks £3.5bn regeneration in the Silvertown district. Work on one of the country’s largest residential and commercial projects has been underway since March 2014 and is expected to be completed in 2020. The development will provide a total of 3,385 residential units and 10,000m2 of retail and commercial space, creating a brand-new neighbourhood in the heart of London’s thriving commercial area. Residents will have a stunning river front view over the Thames as well as the convenience of a new high street with retail shops, bars and restaurants. The development also features plenty of open green space with landscaped gardens, parks and squares, making Royal Wharf a truly new and exciting place to live and work.
