22 May BIM is changing the UK construction industry

Tate Consulting’s Managing Director, Jeff Bearcroft, talks to the CIBSE Journal in a special BIM and Digital Engineering report about how building information modelling (BIM) is changing the UK construction industry. Also, how cloud-based BIM collaborations helped to coordinate the design between all project partners on the Royal Wharf development in East London’s Docklands.

In 2015, Tate’s were appointed by joint-venture development partners Ballymore Group and Singapore-listed Oxley Holdings to provide a full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design service for Phase 2B of the 161,874m development which will deliver 3,385 residential units and 10,000m of retail and commercial space.
