30 Oct Tate Consulting Complete Work on £110 million Manufacturing Facility

Tate Consulting have just completed work on the £110 million 563,000 sq ft car parts manufacturing facility for Bericote Properties with Spanish manufacturer Gestamp Tallent Ltd as the end user.  The new plant located at Four Ashes Park near Wolverhampton will utilise conventional stamping and the new technique of hot stamping with a new transfer servo press line. The annual turnover of the new plant will eventually top £140 million per year.

Tate Consulting provided Infrastructure Master Planning, M&E, Fire and Energy Engineering consultancy services for the new facility working closely with developers Bericote Properties and the rest of the design team.  Tate design services included: 4MVA high voltage network, 5 sub stations, high level 1000A bus bar, argon pure and mixed pipework distribution system, compressed air and chilled water distribution system, gas distribution, services to underground pits and fire services including specialist high velocity nozzle system, with deluge valves located under the machinery within the conveyor pits to protect the hydraulic oil.
