30 May Tate Consulting appointed to work on The Core, Aberdeen
Tate Consulting has been appointed to provide integrated engineering services for the development of three bespoke offices, workshops and warehouses (plots 11, 12a and 12b) at The Core, Aberdeen.
The CORE Business Park, a 100 acre site will accommodate over 1.5 millon sq ft of offices, industrial and distribution space and lies within Scotland’s Energetica Corridor, a joint initiative involving Scottish Enterprise and Aberdeen City and Shire, which stretches from the city of Aberdeen to Peterhead. It is a prominent location, close to the city, the harbour, the airport and the new Western peripheral road link.
The Core is intended to become a major hub for the energy sector and the aim is to make the business park one of the most energy efficient business communities in the UK.
The units being constructed in The CORE will incorporate the latest renewable technologies into buildings that will be EPC A rated, BREEAM Excellent buildings which will significantly reduce running costs and future-proof the buildings.
